How can I buy something on MUFARO? Have you found something you want? and want to buy it before someone else snatches that treasure out from under your nose? Then just click on the “Add to Cart“. You can head to the checkout by clicking the link at the top right in your Shopping Basket. If you are already registered with MUFARO, then you only need to enter your address and your desired payment method here, and that’s it! Your purchase will be confirmed via email.
What happens after I place an order? Following your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. Here you can find all detailed related to the purchase, in particular the total price including shipping costs, and the payment method. Once we have received your payment, we will send your order out to your shipping address. All available items are generally shipped within 2 business days. Once your order has been fulfilled, you will receive a tracking number via email. Due to the handmade nature of our products, some items purchased may be on backorder and delayed. In this event we will inform you via email.
How can I pay? We accept payment by PayPal. Plus you can pay for any product with a MUFARO Voucher, whether you’ve bought one from MUFARO yourself, or you’ve been given a MUFARO Voucher as a gift.
When do I need to pay for my purchase? You must pay for your purchase as quickly as possible, at the latest within 7 days after the confirmation of your order.
***Please note: We do not ship to forwarders due to a high number of lost packages. All orders with a ship to a forwarder will be canceled.***
How or where do I get tracking information for my parcel/purchase? For tracking information please use the tracking number provided to you via email upon shipment. If you have not received tracking information after 48 hours, contact email@example.com. Please allow up to 15-30 business days for delivery.
What happens if my parcel is withheld by customs? MUFARO is not responsible for delays due to customs or for any customs duties or tariffs that may be imposed. Please check with your local customs office about rules and regulations that may apply to you.
Can I use more than one shipping address? You can update or change your delivery address each time you purchase something, or you can provide the address of a friend, if you would like the item to be sent to them as a gift. Addresses which you have already provided once will be saved. Then you can just choose the correct delivery address for each purchase.
I purchased a doll and would like to change the shipping address from the one I entered, can I do that? No, unfortunately due to insurance purposes, we can only ship to the address entered at the time of purchase.
Christmas Orders: We will be closing early on December 29th and reopen January 2nd. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday, December 29th will be processed when we reopen Monday, January 2nd .
How do I order to receive in Time for Christmas? To receive your order by December 15th: Order by 2pm, November 15th.
Where do you ship? Worldwide!
I bought a multiple order of dolls/clothing, will any of the extra shipping costs be refunded to me? Yes, but it needs to all be purchased through the same paypal account. You don’t need to contact us about the refunded shipping either, just give us a couple days to sort it all out and your shipping and handling overages will be refunded accordingly.
Our return policy may not apply when the doll is purchased by a third-party. Each case will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please review our returns policy and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unhappy with your doll.
Unused items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. Goods may only be returned accompanied by the original receipt, in original condition, and in original packaging. All returns must be authorized by our staff prior to shipping.
To obtain a return authorization, please email email@example.com with your order number and product description. You will receive an email with approval and return number. Next, complete the return form on the back of your invoice and include with your return. Be sure to ship your item using a trackable method.
Once your return is processed, you will be refunded within 5 business days (less shipping costs) and receive an email confirmation.
If you feel you have received a defective item, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include a photograph if possible.

What if there’s a problem with the item I purchased? If the products which you have received does not meet your expectations, then please get in touch with us, to see if we can mutually find a solution.
How can I find products on MUFARO? On MUFARO there are lots of ways in which you can find wonderful products to love. You can either browse through our categories and see what catches your eye, or look for something specific by searching with a keyword.
What do I do if I didn’t receive a confirmation email? Normally you receive a confirmation email from MUFARO within two minutes of every sale or purchase. If you are not receiving these emails, please check whether you have written your email address correctly and if this address is still valid. If not, then send an email to email@example.com, and we’ll correct your address for you. If you’re not receiving mails even though your e-mail is correct, then they could be going into your Spam folder. If you still can’t find our notifications in Spam, then please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Why are there so few dolls available? It does look like that, doesn’t it? But don’t worry – we are always making more! We put many of our dolls up for sale each Thursday at noon GMT and we also put up new dolls several times per week at different times – so keep checking back!
Do you do custom dolls – I thought I saw somewhere that you do customs? We are not currently offering custom dolls at this time.
How do you wash these dolls? Your MUFARO is stuffed with wool which is naturally antibacterial. If your doll gets dirty, you can wash it by spot cleaning with a soft cloth and a little wool friendly soap. Make sure to rub up and down with the grain of the fabric. Rinse well. You may also give your doll a quick soak in a sink filled with cool water and wool friendly soap. Squeeze out excess by blotting in a towel and leave to dry.

Some stitching has come undone/ there’s a small hole – how can I fix my doll? Please remember that these dolls are handcrafted – thread is what holds these little gals and guys together. Sometimes thread breaks – it happens. We will do everything in our power to help you repair the doll and make it right. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get the details and assist with the dolly ER!
How strong are the dolls? Very strong! Our dolls are will withstand hours of play each day. That being said, they are made with cloth and wool and not plastic so they need to be treated a little more gently. This is a great way to nurture appreciation and respect for handmade things and to also bring ‘life’ to the doll. Rather than throwing the doll into a toy box you can make a bed for dolly and place her to sleep. Showing respect for the doll and treating it almost as if it is real is an amazing gift to bestow on your child and their imagination. The doll can transcend being an object to actually becoming a ‘companion’ – something that, as a parent and you see happen, is a very magical thing!
Why do the MUFARO dolls cost so much money? Previously uneducated women in rural Zimbabwe are finding sustainable employment to feed their families by handcrafting Mufaro Dolls. Every doll purchased helps put food on the table for these women and their families in a country with a 97% unemployment rate! At least 10 – 12 hours goes into each doll (and not made on a factory production line) and the highest quality materials possible, wool stuffing, natural fiber hair, designer quilting cottons – this is all very pricey.
Can you add freckles to a doll that is all ready made? Of course! Just email us at email@example.com and we will put some on the doll for you. Easy!
Are your dolls available in stores? Currently, MUFARO dolls are available exclusively at www.mufarotoys.com.
Where are MUFARO dolls made? All our dolls are handmade in Zimbabwe. We are proud to provide all our artisans with a sustainable, fair trade income.
What is the appropriate age for these dolls? Some MUFARO dolls are designed and safety tested for newborns and up. Please check on style details and recommendations.
